Default Finally bought an XJS!

Hi all,
I am new to this forum, and finally have an excuse to join after buying a 1989 XJS! I have been looking for the right for years and finally found the car. I am waiting on delivery and cannot wait to drive it.
I live in Chicago and hoping to meet others here who are into those cars. Would also highly appreciate recommendations for the right shop to care for the car. So far I have heard of Coventry Classics and Euro Toys, but both are out in the suburbs, and I still looking for someone I can trust in Chicago. Any tips?
Looking forward to sharing my experiences and learning from others!
Cheers,
K

It’d be a great time to add a signature line indicating the MY and engine, as well as anything else that would help troubleshoot and respond to questions in the future.

89 is the best year. Maximum part number confusion and you still get to say its an 80s car. The last of a generation.

Just wondering how this purchase went? Satisfied? Terrified?

I just read the Kirby book. What do you know. It was XJ-S until 1991, and XJS from there. So you can't have 1989 XJS.

You are indeed correct. It’s an XJ-S. Says it on the back!

A little bit of both I guess. Buying the car was easy, owning it is what scares me! But hoping to lean over on the forum for support
