Default Front calipers

Normally this wouldn’t be an issue but I have a question.

Purchased a 1994 XJS convertible from a PO who included a Raybestos reman left front caliper. I determined that both front calipers are dragging, so I plan on replacing both calipers, rotors and pads. Unfortunately I have had no luck finding a matching right side Raybestos (FRC3853) caliper. There are multiple other manufacturers who offer the right caliper. Does anyone see a problem of “mixing and matching” calipers from different manufacturers on the front brakes? I would like to use the Raybestos left side, if I can.

I dont.

Remanufactured is always as standard was. NOT modified.

Therefore the pistons will be same diameter as the OE.

Down here, that means no matter who rebuilds it, the specs stay the same.

Brand etc matters not.

One of my S2 cars needed one caliper "worked" slightly more than just seals, dust boots, piston polish, than the other side needed. The car pulled up straight and true, no issues whatsoever.

Napa does an excellent reman job. Just bought a pair. Much nicer than centric or Ray.
