Default Fuel additive

Doing a fall tuneup. After rebuilding my FI harness, thought I would check it with a Noid. The #1 cylinder has no effect on idle when the injector connector is disconnected. But the noid shows a good pulse. Spark Plug is one day old, and the plug wires are new.

Before I replace the injector, I figured I would try some fuel additive and go for an Italian tuneup.

Any recommendations? I am in the PNW USA so I have a pretty wide range of shops

Go to walmart and get a flat of Techron concentrate then dump that in, if you want MOAR add in injector lube and a 1gallon of Xylene to a full tank being extremely careful not to spill it on your paint. Double shot of techron should do it though abd prepare for new fuel filters.

Your injector basket filters might be clogged aswell

Why not pull that injector and see what it is doing at tickover? Easy enough to point it into a jamjar and see.

No. He needs to do what I did and spend $500 on injector cleaners until finally breaking down one day and buying a new set of injectors costing hundreds more!

Its the Jaguar way.

You can get a rebuild kit for the injectors for $120 after tax on eBay. What I did before I ever drove it but it had been sitting for 7 years before I got it
