Thank you baxtor... Got ya...

It's the million little things that keeps this interesting. By the end,,, or sooner,,, I think I will have had to look for every bit and piece on this doggone machine! Haha...

In this case, it's about chasing down wiring for the components involved with the speedO...

Much appreciated!

Since you mention "speed" l think the speed interface (as opposed to fuel) is over the other side of the trunk tucked up out of the way.

I believe Jaguar refers to it as the 'anti-slosh' module.

it'll look like this

I don't think the fuel interface unit has any bearing on the speedometer. The speed interface unit, as already mentioned, does, though.

The fuel interface take injector pulse measurements and converts them into something the trip computer can understand to compute fuel economy

Got it. And thank you all!

Crazy thing is,,, I've seen the thing 1000 times.

Getting closer. Stoked.

Had to partly rebuild the shelf and cabinet... Still have some trimming and tucking to do!

Thanks Doug... I started chasing this due to it's mention in the diagram below. Just wanting to make sure bout as much as possible. The damn speedO thing that I (for the life of me) have not been able to get close to right. Thinking to rewire all things (within reason) connected to it since I have the insides so opened up.

I have:
3 dash speedO dials
1 new sender at the diff
And a while back - a "new" interface.

Something has to give!

The GREEN wire goes to many things,,, right up to the back of the dial in the dash... The chase

THIS IS THE "CP7" connector/plug in the diagram. That splice is the shielded white wire that begins at the diff,,, thru the interface,,, into the car. Then all colors change and wires start going to the different components.

Jay, l assume the "new" interface unit you mention in your list was a speed interface and not the fuel unit.

Yes baxtor... My bad. The interface for the speedO on the LH side area of the boot.
