Default Fuel Pressure Regulator EBC3387

Hi

Does anyone have a lead on alternatives for the fuel pressure regulator for my 1994 6.0 please?

An online search reveals the following interchange part numbers but I can't find anything out there...

AIRTEX 5G1410
WELLS PR4185
BOSCH 0 280 160 508
UNIPART 27 EBC 3387
UNIPART EBC 3387
JAGUAR EBC 1977

Take a look on this page, item 2, as the 6 litres had more than one system, depending upon VIN numbers.

There should be rated pressure in bar stamped on the regulator

Mine is actually Bosch 0280160501 which is 3.0 bar.

i cannot find this available anywhere. I have found an odd piece of Bosch 0280160504 online which is 3.5 bar and supposedly an exact fit.

Any thought on the increased pressure and potential problems? It seems my options are limited. There is no indication of anything wrong with the existing regulator but while we are in there now seems the time...

If the existing FPR is OK, then leave well alone!

On my mercs these are about £25 and readily available hence the approach. I guess we will leave as is. Its just a lot of work to get back to it later.

They are hard to find, expensive and likely to need replacement often.
