This little line snapped off on reinstalling the tank. Is it for emissions/vapor? It goes behind the tank and then down; does it go under the car or into the rear storage compartment on its way from the engine bay (I am assuming). It shouldn't extend this far past the tank should it? I am pretty sure this is why it snapped (also how on earth did they think you were going to get the hose off and on while installing the tank?
I also want it noted I was not the one who pulled it and scratched the heck out of everything haha.
I have no idea what model year you drive, but it does appear to be the line that connects to the charcoal canister. This line is responsible to make sure your tank pressure does not cause your fuel tank to spring a leak.
It's an '89 convertible. It is definitely the charcoal canister line. I know the canister is in the front left fender. Anyone know the routing between the tank and canister?
