Default Gear indicator backlight adjustment

On my MY96 (4.0) the backlight for the gear indicator is out of adjustment (or likely was never adjusted correctly). When I’m in neutral, it illuminates half the N and half the D. In drive, it illuminates half the D and half the 3 and so on. Honestly it’s starting to drive me crazy. I opened up the gear indicator cowling and see how it works but there wasn’t a clear way to adjust it. I noticed 2 small bolts that seem to hold the light module to the mechanism but figured I’d ask you all first before I drop one of those bolts and spend all day looking for it.

Thanks!

My first thought would be slider slots under those screws holding the light in. Maybe try loosening them 1/4 turn and see if you can move it. If not there then maybe the adjustment is at the screws holding the lens to the housing.
