So the gold "chrome" on the truck, grille, headlight surrounds, and assorted other areas has some fading issues. I personally hate the gold and would rather have chrome but I understand there's really no way to "unplate" the gold.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to restore that or suggestions on how to replace those parts? I've tried looking for the grille and headlight surrounds but can only find stainless steel look ones.

 

you can take it off with 000 steel wool, or regold plate it. We used to do yrs ago, but theres little request in todays market. its still a huge market in the lowrider car/truck scene, so call around there. The pieces useally do not have to be removed for plating as it takes a car battery and small sponge brush kit, oh and Gold
