Grinding Transmission Noise
I have a 1996 XJS with the AJ16 engine. It has approximately 60,000 miles on it.
I get a short grind noise seemingly from the gear engaging when I go from Park to Drive only. It's smooth, as well as the shifts while driving. I only get that grind noise when I shift it out of Park.
Is this normal? The transmission fluid looks good and is at the proper level.
