Default will parts from a 1989 xj fit my 94 xjs?

I went to the local junk yard yesterday, and they had this fairly complete 1989 xj... I was looking to get the rear callipers, rotors, breaks, etc.... but I'm not sure if they will fit... it looked like they would... unfortunately I did not have anything to measure, etc.

does anyone know if they will fit?

Thanks

Fairly late in the life of the XJS, the brakes were moved outboard, and I believe it was at that point that XJ40 brakes, uprights, hubs etc were used instead of the old XJ Series 3 stuff.

So if your XJS has the outboard brakes the '89 XJ saloon stuff you have seen may well fit. But don't take my word for it, as I may be wrong.

Doug will probably know

Yes, it's as simple as outboard vs. inboard. Rebuilt calipers are not all that expensive and with the work involved to get to them, make damn sure they work.

$140 plus a $100 core, so they ship at $240 and you receive refund of the core once the old calipers are returned.

And a whole host of pad choices. Note: these are for the inboard rotors.
