HE V12 Fuel Pressure regulators - Modification
HI all,
I am getting fuel leaking from the regulators when the vacuum hose is taken off.
I presume this means they are faulty and will affect economy etc haha!
Is there a modification that can get these removed or improved or does anyone have an insruction sheet or video for this?
Thanks guys

That means they're toast and yes you run some risks running that way depending which one has failed - if they have both failed then I definitely wouldn't run it - too little fuel pressure and you run lean (bad bad bad) - too much pressure and you overfuel and wash oil off the bores - and that ain't good either.
Many remove the incoming regulator (right hand side of the engine if sat in the drivers seat) though I'm not one of them. The return regulator on the left needs to stay for sure so replacement is the better option if you need guidance since the fuel pressure is adjusted by the current intake vacuum and setting up an aftermarket reg is full of pit traps.

Yes, nothing to be done but to replace them. Easy to do, they just undo at the obvious points. The internal diaphragm has failed, so your fuel pressure will be all over the place. Manners have non OEM ones which are identical to and one third the price of the OEM ones.
Hi again,
Ok, I have found the parts in the UK. (They were difficult to locate so I will put them up for others that are interested)
5.3L H.E V12 parts.
Inlet regulator = Part # EBC2606
Outlet Regulator = Part # EAC4864
Both of these are available from www.britishparts.co.uk
Thanks
Craig

Just to clarify:
If its genuine Jaguar, the part numbers are written as:
EBC2606
If its OEM, it will be written by a reputable supplier as #EBC2606
If its an aftermarket pattern part, a reputable supplier will mark it as *EBC2606
Of course, you get what you pay for, and theres nothing really to stop suppliers just using the part number even if its a cheap copy.
Good luck

I have had OEM type ones new, I have had aftermarket el cheapo ones new, and I am certain that they are all made in the same factory. AFAIK you cannot buy new Bosch (some labelled Lucas) ones any more.
Wow...
Ordered these parts from britishparts.co.uk Monday 4th July... and they arrived today (11 July) in New Zealand (Opposite side of the world)
7 days - Ordered, packed and delivered.
Impressive.
