Default Headlight replacement on 1995 xjs

Having trouble getting bulb mount to release on the single upgrade headlight. Is there a trick to get it to turn to release?

Remove the plastic access panel in front of the front wheel (not the whole splashguard). You'll then see the headlamp connector. Squeaze and lift off the locking wire and the bulb (H4) will come out

Hello! I want to change my headlight bulbs. I have the Euro headlamps. Did you go with LED or just use new halogen bulbs? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Hello David

Depends on your local laws. In Australia - you are not allowed to use LED in the headlights unless the car was designed for them - otherwise they shake too much and blind on-coming traffic.

In Aust, they can only be installed legally in off-road vehicles, for those that was not initially designed.

You can get some pretty awesome H1 (for the earlier models) or H4 (for the later models) light bulbs these days though

Cheers
Steve
