Default Help - brake booster valve?

1983 XJS. Sorry if my terminology is poor, but last night I was trying to remove the vacuum line that runs to the top of the brake booster (aka servo) when the plastic adapter/plug/valve thing broke:

Is this something I can replace on its own or will I need to purchase a new servo?

I found this, wondering if it would work: Brake check valve

Thanks

At the price it's worth a punt, probably a grommet might go down well

Here’s where I’m at. Either super glue the old plastic piece back together or attempt to use the Dorman one I picked up today. Will probably just order another jag one but in the meantime need to have something to move the car short distances. Video below.

I'm pretty sure you'll find that the plastic elbow (RTC1128) is nothing more than a....plastic elbow. And not a check valve.

The check valve (CAC4188) is in the plumbing of the vacuum pipes and hoses.

Yes, thanks for clearing that up Doug. I'll be making a trip to the auto parts store tomorrow to find something that will fit.

By the way, all the Jaguar versions I've seen were red and had a single nipple. I think the one you have is a replacement intended for some other application or perhaps a "universal" replacement

Yeah I suspected as much. I noticed in your picture what looks like a bag of grease; is greasing the plastic elbow recommended? (Talking about the side that goes into the servo, not the vacuum line side).

Silicone grease, I suspect.

The original elbows, in my experience, are a very tight fit. The grease helps things along a bit
