Default How do I reattach the facelift rear bumper?

Are there some connection parts I’m missing to prevent the rear bumper from hanging under the car? (See picture)

Vee,

The leading edge of the bumper cover slides into the edge of a flattened-s type strip which is probably still riveted to your car.

It effectively slots into that strip and is held through the tightness of the strip. In my experience, it often wants to pull out from that strip. After repeated episodes of it falling out, I then screwed in 3 short self-tappers through the strip and into the leading edge of the plastic bumper cover; one at each end and one in the middle. This completely resolved the problem of the edge coming loose.

Hope that makes sense. If you get under the car, you'll see the strip under the car.

Cheers

Paul

I get exactly what youre saying. I slid it back in there several times already, and it keeps coming back out! I cam here looking to see if there was something I was missing. Seems like I'm not. I'll be using your solution. Probably use a couple of speed nuts to keep it in place.

Thank you!

Took a closer look at the clips and I see that the guy that repainted my car stretched them out... Even with pliers, I can't get them tight again.

There were already some drain holes or something in the flange/ slot on my car, so I drilled a couple holes on the bumper nearby and zip tied the flappy bit back on. The flange itself is supposed to have additional metal clips but they were broken.
