Eight years ago I bought a very nice 1995 XJS-black exterior and beige interior. This car drive amazingly! So amazingly that I had to purchase a Jaguar as a daily driver since I live in NYS and well you can't (not shouldn't but can't!) drive the XJS all year long. So I purchased a nice 1995 Jaguar XJ5. This car too, drive very well. Just a great car, Actually this XJ6 is the most reliable car that I have ever owned and doing repairs, when need, are easy and cheaper than many other cars.
So why am I crazy? I have been thinking of selling my XJS. I was delayed in putting the car on the road this year-I did that today- and was once again blown away at how nice it drives. After a short drive today I can't ever imagine parting with this car. I guess in the end that I am sane after all.

 

Not crazy! My 93 4.0 conv has been with us 20yrs, used as a daily driver and now passed 215K. I agree completely. Sure, it has its quirks but more than makes up for pleasure of ownership. Enjoy.
