Default Idling/stall question - newbie

Hi,

I am the recent and very happy owner of a 1990 xjs with 80k+ on the clock. I bough it from an enthusiast, had it checked by his Jaguar dealership, and have put 300 miles on it without problem, so I'm not worried about the deal.

However, once or twice after short rides (20 - 40 minutes) it has struggled to start / stalled. The cold start idle rate is 1400, the hot start idle rate on these occasions is 500. Subsequently, the oil pressure was dropping to 30 lb/in at 2000rpm on the highway, but this doesn't seem too low. Any thoughts?

Cheers,
Matt

Check the throttle body. I had similar issues. Found out cleaning up the throttle body has solved it.
