The attached link goes to a chart that shows the flow rate for this injector at 3 bar (remember it runs at 2 bar in the engine). It is the 8th line of data line on the chart.

33.5lb seems very high for a 5.3L V12, the 6.0L uses 19lb.

I have the 5.3L HE listed as 0 280 150 163

Warren, you are correct, that number is listed on the table too. I have changed my post above. Mr Injector agrees with you! Many apologies Leo

So Greg, an 90 Marelli would also have the 16CU ECU? And to adjust do you know which way you turn the adjuster to enrichen or lean? I.E. clockwise or cc to affect the mixture. Interesting discussion BTW. I haven't had any time to test my O2 sensor voltage yet, but banking this knowledge for now.

The ECU for the Marelli is also a 16CU. I have forgotten which way enriches, but you can easily hear the engine note alter and get more or less comfortable.

Bosch injectors 0 280 150 161, 162, 163, and 164 are all identical spec-wise. 161 and 162 ( short & long hoses ) are listed as “Production Stop” and supeceeded by 163 and 164 ( long and short respectively ).

if that is the case, then the result is 191.6 cc and thereby not that far off.
It seems 3 bar is the default pressure for these measurements.
Gasoline is .75 g/cc. I flipped that conversion. 191.1 cc/m @ 43.5 psi is correct. Sorry to confuse the discussion with that error.

about adjusting idle fuel mixture,, again i'm kinda old fashoined!

get an old/new vacuum gage hook it into the inlet manifold ,either side , get the engine up to normal operating temperature!

then slowly turn the control ,both sides of vacuum dropping off, and then turn it to a middle position, vacuum should rise up and find a happy medium(highest vac.),!

at that point the engine is happy as its gonna be!,,altho some times in cold weather a slight tweak to the rich side makes engine more comfortable!

HAPPY ENGINE = happy owner!!LOL.

Higher vacuum must simply be equal to higher RPM ? Meaning you could do the same just by keeping an eye on where RPM peaks ?
