I was wondering what other cars will be good donors for a 94 xjs... everything from engine to seats...

Like ford explorers can use mercury, lincoln, etc.

Do jags benefit from this? I was thinking about front seats and suspension parts for now.

You have a pretty narrow window I think.

Seats from facelift to around 95 I think, then they changed to the ones with the integrated headrests till the end of the run.

Front suspension, hopefully would be ok from 92 to 96, not sure about earlier pre-facelift compatability.

Engines... you have the AJ6, which ran from 92 to around 95 I think, with the final run of 4.0 cars having the AJ16 engines in them.

I guess with enough will power you could make other year parts fit, but it's always easier to get a direct fit.

I have a similar problem, facelifted 5.3 V12, which only ran from mid 91 (after facelift) to 93, and was then replaced with the 6.0 V12, which is significantly different.

As you were talking about seats, the best option I saw was a set of proper leather replacement seat covers, ie
