Default Intermediate Running Issues

Hi all,
Still new to the XJS. I have a 1989 V12 convertible. It had a very small engine fire on passenger side. After the fire wires were replaced along with the rear flywheel sensor. Car started and ran well. Now it has developed the issue of starting several times with no issues, then it won’t start for awhile sometimes days. I have constant spark when tested and fuel. I don’t even know where to begin to start checking. Anyone had this issue or have any ideas.

Thanks in advance
Dave

When you say it has fuel, what do you mean? If you pull and injector when it is doing this, the injector sprays?

Right. "Has fuel" is a bit vague. You need fuel in the rail, at the right pressure, and the injectors must open and close.

Easy first step: Are the injectors clicking as the engine is cranked? A mechanic's stethoscope ($7.00) is useful here.

Cheers
DD
