I now realize I breached protocol by posting about my ailing XJS before introducing myself to the Forum. I grew up in Los Angeles with older brothers working on cars and always had a passion for them that I could never pursue while working and raising kids. The pandemic gave me the opportunity to return, and I bought a ragged 1971 Volvo 1800E that occupied my days and many nights for two years. After I retired, and yearning for a ragtop, I found a beat-up 1995 XJS Convertible and brought it home on a trailer. It's a dream to drive and I've been tidying- and fixing it up over the last few months. At the moment, the car and I are at odds, but I'll leave that for the other thread.
