Default Its like doing a puzzle without a picture

I have finally started reassembling the interior and trunk trim on my 1993 xjs convertible, as the PO had torn a lot of the interior carpet and panels out trying to figure out the no start. It is definitely interesting trying to figure out where stuff goes, and if I actually have screws for stuff. Smh! I got the trunk as back together as i can, but I need to look into a new antenna, and antenna seal as the one that was rigged in wasnt right and didn’t seal the hole properly. Also, I had a parasitic drain on the battery, and figured it out, but I must have another small one because my battery still goes dead, although it has been fairly cold and I haven’t started it much. One thing I need help with, my drivers door had never stayed open on its own, is there a spring or something inside the door? One other thing, Im looking at new weatherstripping for the drivers door, as it leaks, but I think its also leaking above the rubber seal at the “felt” type seal. Does anyone sell that, or is there a “fix” for it?

First of all, put a brand new battery in.
Many of the electrical gremlins will magically disappear.
Also, you have put a lot of questions in one endless post; sort them out in to separate areas and post them on the relevant sections.
That way the members that know about trim don't get confloppted about electrical questions; some of us spend a bit of time fishing for questions that we can answer and if it is all a bit muddled then just I skip on to the next one.
We are all here to help!

Yeah my bad. I figured rather than start 3 or 4 new threads, I would just put stuff all in one. I guess I did run on a bit lol. Sorry

No, don't apologise.
It is just so much simpler for those of who know things (said the great white wise ****) to help out if it's much more focused.
I particularly despise the users that suck up pages of information and then don't bother to say thanks afterwards.
Easy is as easy does.
Or something.

Or the "Im going to work on it tomorrow and see if it helps" then they disappear into the ether without letting everyone know if it worked. Smh Oh, and thanks!

I have been tempted from time to time to say things like:
Don't worry about the rusty sills; just jack it up and crawl underneath.
Spongy brakes? find a big tree and aim at it.
Fuel smell in the boot? that's why the Good Lord invented the Zippo.
Non functioning seat belts? see spongy brakes.
Exhaust leak; put the end in your mouth and see if the engine keeps running.
Headlights are dim; are you sure it's just the headlights?
A real one from yesterday (on a different forum); a vacuum pipe has come off at the back of the engine, where does it go?
My answer; it goes to where all things go.
We had just been taking about The Matrix though and I had spoon in my thoughts.

Kinda like "my car stopped running whats wrong with it?" posts. Or the misuse of words like "My car wont crank" my reply "so it wont turn over at all?" Their reply "huh? No it just wont crank" drrrrrrr. Or "my wheel keeps going flat" or "I think my oil sending unit is bad. My oil pressure gauge stopped working, no biggie, so I drove it to work and now my engines making noise! Fricken guy sold me a lemon!" Smh! All things I have tried to help others with. Just to say,I wasnt really looking for help with the battery issue, more just commenting in passing type thing .lol
