This is actually a late birthday present from my brother.

Generally im really not a fan of diecast. theyre usually too misproportioned, but i was completely blown away by the detail on this model. The exterior has only 1 flaw that i can see, and that is that the ariel is on the drivers side instead of the passengers side. im afraid thats a deal breaker for me. lol

the interior is really accurate. I couldnt believe how exact the dash and center consol were. all the gauges, buttons, switches, and vents are accounted for, and ive only discovered one flaw with the center console. the speed control button is to the left of the shifter, instead of on the shifter base.

The engine bay is a 3 on the accurate scale. they spent too much time modeling the AC hoses and not enough doing the important engine bits. and then the underside is dissapointing. it looks like someone breaifly glanced at a photo of the underbelly, and then modeled it.

let me know what you all think of my new XJS.

You'll have this one running before the full size one!

I have the same model in blue, it goes under the Xmas tree parked in the station for our model trains.

Default Cool coffee table...

...but $1k??

Reckon I could find an engine for $100. Soak it in coca cola or simple green for a week, hose it off, slap some rubber standoffs on top, then get a plate of glass for the top.

Done, Son!

999 GBP! about $1600. Plus shipping from England. Maybe it is time to find a new market for some of the older V12's in the boneyards around here.

last i checked, 1 pound was equal to 1.6 dollars.

and i can tell you right now i would already have that table, complete with top gear underglow, if it wasnt for that fact that i wouldnt be able to move it to sweep around it. lol 300lb table is not my cup of tea.
