Default Keyfob distance

Just a quick question about the distance from your car does the keyfob work. Mine is the UK 418 mhz and works u pto 4-8 ft . I did read along time ago that you can extend this by touching the remote to your head AND YES that does work..........
How far does your remote work from ? I met up with a nice couple here in Orlando with the US 318 mhz and it worked from 20 or more ft.

Mine works from 20+ feet thanks to someone named malc4d who got my alarm system sorted.

I have to be standing right next to the car holding the fob near the windows to get it to work - new batteries haven't improved it!

So far the UK 418 mhz seems to be the worst then.....
Kenneth, try the holding the fob to your head method. You will be surprised. It does work

tried today at Great West Jaguar and Classic Car Show, in Torquay - success only in that those that were watching found the process hilarious and thought I should go on the stage to repeat the process - failed in all other respects (still had to hold the fob, pressed to my head, close to the windscreen!) - can't think why that seemed funny to those around me!

But alas, opens up….a Chevy impala. The old ones were great, it’s a shame what they decided to do with that nameplate.
