Hello everyone - I've searched the forum and can't seem to find an issue like this, so I'm hoping someone might be able to help....

The problem is that rain water is leaking from where the rear speakers are, it's as if water is coming in from behind the speakers. As a result, when it rains heavily under the back seat is full of water.

Hopefully someone has a suggestion or two?

Are you sure it's coming from behind the side-mounted speakers? If so, it almost has to be that your fixed side window seals are bad. I've never heard of that happening.

A much more common leak is from the rear window seal. A leak there allows water to run under the carpeted window package shelf, down the rear bulkhead (behind the rear seatback cushion), and pool under the rear seats.

Back in 2001, Ed Sowell had a leak around his rear window seal. It caused massive damage. He documented the damage here:

I also have a 1988 XJS Convertible, and I'm trying to source some rubber door seals. I cannot get hold of them anywhere, and i've asked around Jag specialista here in the UK.

I don't suppose you (or anyone else!) could recommend somewhere I could order these from?
