Location of things
When I bought my XJ6's first thing I did was purchase the Haynes Manual, then got my hands on the XJ handbook and several PDF files from the forum.
The XJR has been like just get my hands in there and I'll find it. The Kirby book I read for months prior to buying an XJR. I use the search function daily and read about 10 threads a day. Learning for me is part of the fun. I thought I would post some pictures of where some things are, for the person that doesn't know. Like me. I may be wrong, but my LH (side) is from me sitting behind the wheel.

Mmmmm.
You are correct with the LH and RH, as it has always been taken whilst sitting in the drivers seat and facing forward.
That eliminates all this "drivers side, and passengers side" rubbish we get so often, when WHO KNOWS which side the steering wheel is located.
You are saying a '92, which may well be correct, but maybe after September "build", which would be considered a '93 MY (model year).
I ask due to the body shape being the "update" shape, and staring at the Kodaks, that looks horribly like a 6ltr engine. The injector rail is 6ltr, as is the throttle capstan. Not enough detail for me to make any further comments. I have only ever seen one other 6ltr, and that was years ago. They are pretty rare down here.
It would have the TH400 4L80E transmission if that is the case??.

That was my first thought as well. But...I did some checking in the "1992 5.3 Engine Management" section of my ROM and the fuel rails, pressure regulator, and throttle capstan, etc. seem to match up with the pics we see above.
In the end I think it's a '92 5.3 as originally stated

I know one thing (maybe two), that when I removed Air Injection rails, gutted air pump (to be used as pulley) and removed evap. system, my exhaust stopped smelling like hell and turned into normal exhaust smell, of old Chevy, with well tuned carburetor Plus not having all that extra engine clutter is a win.
BTW, we are lucky in OH, no emission control, so naturally, empty cat. converters...

Enough to feel it, but never measured it. She is super strong old girl, see here:
OHIO DRIFT - YouTube
P.S. when it sounds as if transmission is slipping, it is actually spinning them tires

What are these
Does anyone else have that on/off switch? What does it do?
My window bezel has 2 holes which I believe those 2 red lights go in. They fit. I can't see where they would splice in though. There is one blue and one grey wire under the center console attached to nothing right now. It doesn't make sense to me anyway, there are 2 lights. I can't imagine they light up when you use the window switch though. Any thoughts?
