Default Lucas male/female connectors?

Hey guys,

I am doing my cruise control and replacing all the wires and co and need some connectors for the plugs.

Problem is, they are the "male" and "female" style crimp on connectors. I have no idea where to get them from and what they are properly called. All I know is that the standard look-a-like connectors I can get here do NOT fit... You can force them to fit but they don't properly fit...

Anyone got some ideas?

Cheers

Damien

Amazon Amazon

If you mean this type, Daim, they are standard "Lucar" connectors and have 1/4 inch blades (6.3mm). Amazon sell them as kits or in 50 packs of each type

Unfortunately not Greg. No spade connectora. If you unplug your fuel injector harness or cruise bellows, you'll see the ones I mean.

My FI harness plugs are not crimp terminals, as far as I can see, they are some sort of proprietary rubber solid items.

If you remove them from the plug, they are crimp connectors

I think you're mixing up Lucas bullet connectors with US style trailer connector pins. They are a different size The cruise control connectors are standard US style three wire trailer wiring connectors. Look for Hoppy brand, they fit fine. i've never found a fuel injector connection block that looked exactly the same, but found four two wire US style trailer wiring connectors turned on edge are a perfect fit.

Well, I'll quickly undust this...

After looking at a way to get some of those US trailer plugs and wires, it was in the end cheaper to buy the CC harness section from the fire wall to the CC plug. Why? 'Coz the same and even the correct colour. So I'll cut one up to use for the CC actuator unit
