Lucas, Prince of Darkness struck me again
Ok, so here is a really weird short I have noticed and only Lucas can come up with this one. I shut my door (either side) and the headlights come on for a short bit then go out. I haven't noticed, but I think they go out when the interior lights go out. Battery has not gone dead but just another one of them thing to check and trace out.
A bad ground, probably, but check your fuses as well.
The Series III sedans have a quirk where the door puddle lights will stay on if the power antenna fuse is removed or blows. Some sort of weird feedback issue. Jaguar added a diode in the circuit to solve the problem
Cheers

well still chasing this problem down, may just set things aside until I get things done on my other vehicles before winter, and detailing my 2 and my brothers car. Then use it as a winter project along with recovering my console, door panels, back panels and other small parts.
