I have a Richmond ROD 6-speed in mine.
The thing I see as an advantage of the Richmond over the more popular Tremec, is that it is a single overdrive transmission, compared to the Tremecs being dual overdives. That means that on the Tremec 6-speeds, both 5th and 6th gears are overdiven, and 4th gear is 1:1. That's fine if you want to cruise the interstate at lower RPMs, but, you'll have to downshift to 3rd or 4th to get any performance out of the car.
I don't see the logic in that. I put a manual in to have some fun, and boost the performance of the car over the anemic slushbox automatic.
With the Richmond, only 6th gear is overdriven, with 5th gear being 1:1. That gives me 5 gears to have fun with, and one for cruising.
The Richmond is also a much stronger transmission, with hardened, race-cut gears and synchros, as it was developed as a racing transmission first and foremost. The Tremec was designed for OEM use in Camaros, and Mustangs.

Flamenco Red, camel interior & top, needs new headliner but the exterior roof was replaced a few years ago. 98,000-some odd miles, original 3-speed auto that will do 62 in 1st gear and 120+ in 2nd.
The car is in Huntington, but I'm out of town for work. That's about as close to Charleston as you'll find. I recommend a credit union for financing, try Universal Federal on 31st Street in Huntington.

From memory the correct input shaft length should be 176 or 186mm? which is found on the T5 also using the T5 puts the shifter in the correct position with the console.
Personally the T5 is the pick of them its small light and in a street car will handle anything the v12 puts at it, in a race car different story.
The only thing is to use internal clutch thruster not the push rod from the outside.
