Default Master Cylinder Fluid Adapter Grommets

I'm stumped. I just replaced the Master Cylinder for my 84 XJS and went to install the Fluid Adapters into the Grommets so I could place the Adapters and Grommets onto the Master Cylinder. Well, I cannot for the life of me get the grommets and adapters to fit.
Any help would be great!

Shouldn't be that tough to seat them. You may want to coat the surfaces with some Vaseline to help them slide. And/or, put the adapters in the grommets and slide as a unit into the MC.

Yeah, my next thought was to lube the grommets, I just did not know what to lube them with, now I know, thanks Ken!
