My No Startt problem
I read the previous lengthy post on a no start problem. I am stuck as well.
I am working on an '89 Lucus ignition V12.
The car sat for 20+ years. I took it down to the base engine and replaced the plugs, wires, hoses, belts, re-conditioned (cleaned, pressure tested and spray pattern, new filters) the EFI's, fuel filter, drained old gas, cleaned the sump tank, new fuel hoses, new distro pickup unit and vacuum advance' and new coil.
Have double checked fuel pressure, spark at plugs, swapped out amplifiers with a car that does run, tried different coil, and triple checked distro to plugs wiring alignment.
The repair manual shows the #1A plug position at about the 11 O'clock position. Mine is closer to the 10 O'clock position but this is where the screw holes align to for the cap to the base.
NOTE: I did not unloosen or move the distro base during my refurbishment actions.
I do not get even a hint of trying to catch using Starting Fluid spray into the intakes. Very odd.
Last check is EFIs with Noid light as mentioned above.
I am running out of ideas.
Any suggestions? Thx
If that is not it

Some diagnostic questions to begin with;
How do you know that you have a spark at the plugs? Because, if you do and you are squirting goodly amouts of strater fluid into the intakes, there would be some sort of bang or backfire or something, even if the timing was a bit off.
How do you know the injectors are actually spraying fuel when the engine is cranking over on the starter?

Thanks Greg,
I think I am going to have to take the EFIs off and re-test them. Everything sems to be testing out correctly according the the Service Manual procedures but still nothing. I will double check TDC as well. One thing I noticed is that the book shows the 1A distro position at about the 10 O'clock position. This car has the 1A plug wire position at between the 11-12 O'clock position. This is where the distro cap screws line up with the aluminum base.
NOTE: I did not alter the the distro position when I was refurbishing the motor
NOTE 2: The distro did get a new pickup unit and vacuum advance. The distro cap has no cracks.

A simple test for Injector electrikery activity.
Ign ON, QUIET PLEASE, snap open the throttle and LISTEN. You should hear a CLICK as the Injectors trigger in one batch. This is simply to test the ECU is being spoken to and reacting as designed.
A faulty Dreaded White Wire could still be an issue, as its a pulse signal (like a tacho pulse) to Pin 18 of the ECU.
That CLICK does NOT mean the Injectors are passing fuel, but all 12 going AWOL, NAH, even Ned Kelly was not that unlucky.
The timing of the dizzy is in the attached PDF.
As Greg stated, with spark In The Hole, and Ether up the snout, you should get a fart out of it, no matter where the timing is set.
