Mystery Electrical Connectors??
Hi all,
I'm in the process of trying to start a 1986 v12 HE that has been standing for a long time and I'm working through the guides on that. I think (always dangerous) that the car last drove in its current state of assembly, but I don't know if this is the case - it has had a fairly substantial rebuild, but was then stored before it could be finished.
Any help with what these wiring connectors do, or what they should be attached to would be great - I've looked at the wiring diagram, but its hard to translate that into connections. Hopefully the pictures are clear, they are supposed to show:
1. Green / Green Black wired connector - was just loose in the front wing through the grommet.
2. 2 different female (?) connectors near the header tank filler neck - they don't connect to each other, but not sure what they do connect to?
3. Spare plug in the (UK) drivers side front wing - I guess this could just be diagnostic?
I've not had the car running yet, but with the battery in, everything (lights, indicators and so on) seems to work, my only guess is there's no front fog lights fitted?
Many thanks, appreciate any help offered!

The connector near the header tank may well be an unused one, cars with headlight wash wipe have a connector like this for that item, cars that do not just have the unused connector. Hard to be sure from here
The unused connector on the third photo is normal, not all are used in many models.
The grommeted wire: This looks like it was going through the inner wing. What are the exact wire colours, and is there a hole in the wing for the grommet? Where does the other end of the wire go to, into the loom, if so where?

The plug where your hand is, 2nd pic, connects to the plug coming from the headlight wiper motors. I just checked as I just ok this all apart lol. The one connected beside it runs along the front to the other side. So if you have those you should see a long wire with the attaching end on it. Maybe feel behind the rad or somewhere there.
Hi All, thank you for your help, that's great - I had another look at the wiring diagram and you're absolutely right, the ones at the header tank are the right colours for the wash wipe. I didn't see any wiring when I had the radiator out, but I do have (one but not two, doh) headlamp wipers in the box of parts that came with the car - I'll look again for any wires between the headlights and this area.
The grommeted wires at the front wing are green and green / black - they come out of the wrapped loom just under where the grommet is in the photo, and then the connector goes through the grommet into the wing (i could feel the wire was loose, so I pulled the grommet out to see what it was). When I was looking at the wiring diagram for the wash wipe, I might have found this - is it to do with the wash wipe system / pump in left hand drive cars, so unused in my right hand drive car?
I couldn't get the engine started, so I was worried these wires were important, but really happy to say she fired up over the weekend! First time I've started the engine since I brought the car 5 years ago, and (i think) first time its run in about 12 years!
Thanks for all your help.
