Default Need for parts?

Just trying to gather an assessment for needs of 1986 XJS parts. The vehicle is the 5.3 V12 version and has been sitting with no use for a while. Any information regarding this would be greatly appreciated as I am stuck on whether to part it out or just donate it for the tax write off.

If you part it out I need the front spoiler. PM me as I need other parts as well.

It would help to know more about the car.

Does the engine run?
How is the transmission?
Does the body have any rust?
How is the interior? (Leather condition?)

It takes a lot of time and energy to part out a car. Do you want to spend the time to take it apart and ship out parts?

If you don't want to spend the time then it might be best to sell it as a complete car. Some one will buy it depending on condition and asking price.

Posting a few pictures would give us a better idea of what you have and its potential.

Does the engine run? No, hasn't been started in some time now.
How is the transmission? Should still be good, no known issues at time of storage.
Does the body have any rust? Minor spots but mostly all panels are good.
How is the interior? (Leather condition?) - The sun is a cruel, cruel, ball of magnificence. (That's a No). The interior has some good pieces but mostly the leather is dry due to the damage.

Chrome may need a slight polish but otherwise in great shape.
- the front inner fender baffles
Gottem.
- long shot... but fog light covers?
No covers, just the lights.
- hows the interior wood?
Interior wood is fine, no scratches that I can see.

Photos of the vehicle now placed in my profile. Let me know if you can't see it. Also, the panels and everything on this car are spot on. Thisis a great car just mechanically, we stopped operating it and have had it in storage for years now.

Odd I placed them in my profile under photo albums. Should be a folder named (1985 Jaguar XJS V12" present. Try again.

I think only you can see that folder. The rest of us can not see it.

If you are going to part it out I could use the plastic clips and screws that hold the plastic cover on the battery box.
