the 6.5 motor should be assembled this weekend and i am looking for an A pillar gauge pod for my fuel pressure knock sensor and wide band gauge, can anybody help me out?
Google, universal pillar gauge, there's TONS availible.

If you can't find a suitable universal pod, how about adapting something like this. Intended for speakers but I've seen them used for gauges also. Depends on how professional a look you want.

Oops! Didn't know that they manipulate the link to show the name of the place. Hope it won't be much of a problem. The actual link that I pasted was like 30 times longer.

Some tips:
You will not find a pod that will perfectly match the XJS' pillar.
Measure the width and length of the A-pillar as it is now and try to get what's the closest to that.
Then comes the Michelangelo part: you need to sculpt using a knife and a hair dryer to carefully trim what needs to be removed at the edges and to precisely change form where needed. I couldn't possibly provide details as to what was done where because, like I said, it's been too long to remember. But this will give you the correct pod that fits your A-pillar like a glove.
Oh, I realize that you wanted only a two gauge pod, but I posted a 3-gauge pod link; still, there are plenty of the 2-gauge pods and one's as well. Or, perhaps there is a third gauge you may want to add while you're at it...
Good luck!

Not sure if you found your solution, I tried pods they just do not fit the cars elegance , my solution it to modify the dash line add guages and fiberglass her . Still on the drawing board
If you don't smoke you can sacrifice an ashtray and add gauges in there.......

These are ProSport gauges. One for Fuel pressure, the other for Oil Temp
I needed to modify the ski slope a bit to get the gauges in however....... so I bought a second hand ski slope and butchered that, and kept my original

6.5 motor ? do tell more...
The max the temp has ever got up to was 200C. This was sitting in gridlock traffic, 90 degrees outside, with the A/C on full. At that time the water temp was around 200C also. In normal driving mode the gauge barely lifts off its lower peg which is 160C. The sender is braised into the sump. (We had to take the sump off to do it) Initially I wanted to use an adapter that would allow me to plug the sensor into the sump where the drain plug usually goes, but my trusty mechanic said he had tried that a few times and they always ended up leaking, so he just whipped the sump off during an oil change and did the braising. It's quite useful as a kind of second data point to see how hot the engine really is........ as we all will admit, V12 XJS owners do tend to spend quite a bit of time watching our water temp gauges, so at least checking the oil temp gauge adds a bit of variety :-)
Is that really °C or °F? I mean 200°C in the coolant seems incredible! Thanks for the brazing heads up.
