Default New springs and shocks

Guys as I have the IRS out and noticed a damaged KYB shock I was going to replace all 4 with Boge (the fronts are boge) should I also replce the springs at the same time? If so I'd look at King Springs I notice that some people on here have them on their cars are those people happy with them?

I have just bought four new Boge shocks for the rear of my XJS. I haven't fitted them yet but did not get the springs. I wanted to do the springs but could not really find a good recommendation for a like OEM ride height and spring rate - I was fearful that the beutifull ride height would end up being raised. If you get a good bit of advice here I will likely do my springs too

I noticed that my car would sometimes lean slightly to the left at the rear, so it could be the dampers, but likely I do too need the springs.

I fitted Aston DB7 springs, radius arm bushes and cage mounts; it gives a tighter setup at the back but the ride height is the same.

Very interesting. Sounds like a good set-up for a driving enthusiast, Steve. Great to hear that you kept the orig ride height with this set-up - these cars sit so nice!

Check out Selby, I used their HD standard height in the rear of mine and are happy with the result, slightly cheaper than the King. I also used Bilstein shocks all round. Very happy with the result, not noisy or harsh but tightened up the handling significantly.

Do you have part numbers for the parts you used?

Righto thanks for the info guys. I've gone with a set of Boge from Jagdaim and a set of King Springs (std Height) I would have got bilsteins only that the Boge are at a price I couldn't say no to.

The only number that I could see is from a photo and I'm not sure if it is for the radius arm bushes or the cage mounts; either way it is DOC613950.
