Default No Blower from Fan switch

Does anyone have the electrical schematic for a 1988 XJS-C,specifically the part for the wiring to the blower switch and blower motors? I'm trying to find out if either the fan switch that controls the heat/ air conditioning is bad or if I've got two bad blower motors. Can the blower motors themselves be tested by hooking up 12 volts to each blower connection plug or is there another way to test it? Is there a way to test the fan switch as I do not want to go thru the tedious process of removing the blower motors knowing that it's just a bad fan switch? Can someone please help? Are there fuses or relays that may be causing this problem and where are they located?

This drawing may help. http://www.jagrepair.com/images/Elec...Electrical.pdf

12v on the fans will, at least, rule them out.

By far, the most likely cause of this issue is a fuse! On these cars the fuse is always the first point to check - and to replace because the fuses can look good but be faulty.

I can't seem to find a definative wiring diagram that contains the fan switch for the heating/ air conditioning in any of the diagrams. Nothing seems to be helping at this point. Can someone point me in the right direction or am I missing something?

The mode control switch is clearly shown in diagram 26.2 of the manual I linked to in post #2.

Go to post #19 in this thread where you'll find a link to the Delanair MkIII training manual. It should help

Doug, it’s been four years since you posted this, but just wanna say thanks.

I have to drive from Toronto to Montreal tomorrow: about 600km. Today I turned on the A/C and nothing happened. No blowers, no vents, no nothing.

Five minutes of searching and I found your post. Add two minutes to read the first few pages of the manual, five minutes more to find my spare fuses, and two minutes more to change the first fuse mentioned in the manual.

All fixed now. Thank you so much. 🥶
