Default 87 xjs fuel pump

I appreciate all the help from this forum. The new main relay solved my starting and running problem. I had installed a new Bosch fuel pump because the pump was not running but it didn't cure my problem. Now I have a fresh pump. Thanks for all the help..

I did try both 87 terminals and -no pump runs, but relay may be bad or wiring to pump could be bad but all looks well. I will ground the orange wire on the pump relay and see if pump runs. I'll try to find a dual 87 relay and replace. Is the main relay the same as the pump relay? I may buy two relays. I'll add the car had been running well prior to parking. Could the fuel inside the injectors take a while to flush out, I flushed the fuel rail, but with the fuel pump jumpered and running, the engine does not fire at all unless I squirt gasoline into the air cleaners. Maybe my injectors are not operating? Thanks again for all the help, I'll have to work on the car again in a few days, and I'll keep you informed of my progress.
Injectors you have 7 injectors not 6. The middle injector is for priming the fuel rail and then the other 6 injectors kick in.

Why not put the part number in your post?

Posting in the X300 section would be a good idea

Cheers

Just tackling this issue now with my '92 XJS V12 convertible. The circumstance is the same. Car was driving perfectly fine. Parked it for a month. Engine cranks but no start. After reading this thread, I was able to locate the main and fuel pump relays. After removing the carpet trim (by sliding it out at an angle), there is ample access to the space behind the metal plate. You can reach in with your hands to remove the two relays without undoing the metal plate.

These relays are quite cheap. I plan to just replace them both. I ordered from https://www.autohausaz.com/. Part #s are as follows:
Main relay: 0332014112 (Equivalent to OEM # AGU1070)
Fuel pump relay: 0332019151 (Supersedes 0332014113; equivalent to OEM # AGU1068)

The fuel pump relay is the one in front; the main relay is the one closer to the back of the car. Attached are a few photos I took.
