could be a fuse a relay or the fuse-able link on the pump harness

I'm not familiar with the 3.6 fuel pump circuit so I'm no help in trouble shotting why it isn't being powered-up

But, when jump-wired, the pump should hum....not go 'donk'. If nothing else it sounds like the pump might be kaput.

Cheers

i had a issue with mine, they had just put a new fuel pump in just before i bought it and i started having a intermittent no run issue of the fuel pump. i was getting power to the plug in back near the batt. but pump not running.

took the plate off that holds in the fuel pump and without removing the tank had access to the plug ins for the fuel pump, tested power at the fuel pump side of the harness no power. tested at the connector side near the battery had power. removed the harness and there is a fusible link in the harness right near where it plugs into the top of the fuel tank, and that is where my issue was.

if you jump the fuel pump and it just goes clunk and not hummm your fuel pump is likely bad. your bad fuel pump may have taken out the fuse-able link though.
