Not sure what model year you have, but perhaps you'll find this insightful.

Thanks Mac Allan, I'm grateful for your answer, interest and diagram. This will help me. My XJS was originally exported from Jaguar factory to Japan, with the specifications demanded by Japan ie. to run unleaded fuel, rear high line brake light, catalyser exhausts and other very minor changes from normal. It's a 1990 6Ltr v12 Coupe in British racing green, I brought it back to england in 2019 it has 54000kms on the clock (approx. 35000mls) now and is like new. No rust or corrosion anywhere, beautiful dark green paintwork. It's only fault is the heated rear window not working, maybe now I can fix it. Thanks

If he’s anything like Old Greg, he’s very old, and a Merman.
