One of a Kind 2009 Jaguar XJS
New to this website with a 'mission' in mind. I posted earlier under a different thread, that my niece is attempting to find a buyer for her father's (my brother) 1990 XJS. This is a 'show' car and her hope is to find an enthusiast who would treat the vehicle much like her father. He took great pride and enjoyed showing the car in various concours events throughout the area. The vehicle has been 'garage-kept' and only has 14k original miles on it. This is also a unique vehicle as it has a one-of-a-kind paint finish from Jaguar and this specific car was used in Jaguar print advertising. I welcome any serious interest. Thank you. I hope to have pictures soon to post.
So this sounds like one of the 1990 "Classic Collection" cars where Jag painted 472 XJS models with a few custom colors and added contrasting piping to the seats along with a few other trim upgrades. It could be a value add if Jag used the car in actual advertising but that would need to be documented. Some picts and history with a VIN# would go a long way garnering some interest in the car. That's said not too many deep pockets around here. You may want to gather up all the documents, have some professional photos taken and list it on an auction site like BAT or consign it to one of the many other fine auction houses. If the condition is right and mileage is documented it could be a valuable asset to someone's collection.

Ditto ICS. Everyone here already owns an XJS, and probably doesn’t need another. We’re also DIY cheapskates. Your ideal buyer will be found on Bringatrailer, carandbids, or Hemmings.
The nicest, rarest, most special XJS on earth struggles to break $15k. An awful lot sell for less than $10k. My sweet spot is closer to $5k.
Good luck!

Hi John
This sounds like the 'Insignia' the very last to roll off the Production Line and as ICS was saying finished to the Customers 'Bespoke Specifications'
There were only 64 of these produced and for the Coupe you are Talking around £50,000!
If you've got the Convertible then you could go and buy your own Private Island!
I'll just add to that by saying that in 2024 one of these Insignias sold for £44,000
Why not get in touch with Hoovie, I'm sure he'd love to add that to his Collection
Paul (ptjs) will have the Full Spec if you have VIN

The Classic Collection should not be confused with the Insignia. Bringatrailer has sold 15 Classic Collection XJS’s and four of them broke $15k.

I thought Insignia's were 93 and 94 only. Might be a few 92 's floating around but im not sure about that. The custom color does sound like an Insignia but the OP stated the car was a 1990. This is where a VIN number would really help

Greatly appreciate all the input! Personally, what I know about cars you can put in a hollow pea! That said, I am trying to put my hands on the print advertisement Jaguar used that actually pictures this very vehicle.
