Default Opticell issues

Hello, I wonder if anyone can help me with a photo or diagram showing where the wires go on the opticell. I don't mean the wires coming out of the actual opticell. I mean the ones that come from it and travel into the area behind where the stereo system sits. You see, I've rebuilt the car myself but many years ago I paid someone to strip it for me. They are long gone. They pulled out the copper ends of the wires; left hanging loose under the stereo system. I just don't know where most of them go. I know two go into the facia heater controls, but no idea where all the others are supposed to go. Can anyone help? I've checked my repair manual but it was of no help.

Heater/AC rotary controls
Hot/cold slide lever under the radio
Ignition switch bezel
Headlight switch bezel

That's all I can think of at the moment. Some location might take two optic strands.

And I think some strands are clear light and others are green light

Others with a better memory will come along.

Cheers

Thanks DD. They're just 5 or so short wires with the optic coming out the end and I believe 2 of them plug into the back of the heater control facia. Don't know where the others go. Maybe they all go into the heater control facia somehow? I just wondered if someone had a picture showing where they go. They're so short that they can't be for the Ignition or Headlight switch bezels, which both work fine already.

Into the heater fascia you have 2 optic wires thst go into either end of the cold center vent slider, the 2 each for each rotary dial. Total 6.
I think the two for the center vent spifer were the ones coloured red/blue in the opticell, with the others being the standard green/clear? but might be wrong.

Thank you so much for your advice. Things also became a little clearer last night on realising someone had previously removed and lost the cold vent slider (I've ordered a replacement today). And, in case you or anyone else is reading this message, am I right in thinking that the window switches on the ski slope don't light up because they were never designed to have lights in them?

mattsquire,

That's correct. No illumination on window switches.
