original radio code
When the cars were delivered new, the code was printed on a credit card sized card and part of the handbook package. If you can't find it there, I believe you will have to go to a Jag dealer to get it reset.
I had the same problem on my 87 XJ6, someone on another forum told me the line installer sometimes wrote it in pencil on one of the emissions decals or other such decal under the hood. I found it plain as day on one of the engine compartment decals, 4 digits scribed in pencil, worked like a charm. Worth a look, maybe your car had the same installer?
(jomia092306, it would help if you put the year, model etc in your sig tag then we can be of more help at times

When I worked at the Jaguar dealer I used to use a carbide scribe to etch the Radio Code in the paint under the bonnet. Several of us at the dealer did this in very small digits.
I sometimes answered calls on the Jag shop phone from people and I told them to look under the bonnet at the top corner. Several people were exited to see the code and thanked me and hung up the phone.
You will probably need to pull the radio and read the serial number to someone at the Jaguar dealer to retrieve the code. Maybe try looking in the boot near the spare wheel.

My local Jag. dealer went into the Jag. main computer records and pulled up all the data on my car.
Date of build, options, colour, which dealer, door keys number and radio code and more.
All at the stroke of a couple of computer keys.........
