overpriced and opportunists
Looking thru eBay on an xjs search I couldnt help but notice some ludicrous pricing for parts. For instance, pollen filters @ £80, wood sets for £800. is the guy mad?, when I checked out his other items they are so overpriced I cant understand how he got a 300 odd feedback, albeit not all positive, there are 2 sellers who think all jaguar owners are eccentric millionaires, and they both appear to be based in Dundee Scotland. moral, shop about.

I have limited sympathy for those who foolishly pay over-the-top prices.
Car parts...especially for a hobby car....are seldom purchased on an emergency basis. The internet makes research and comparisons very easy. If you pay a silly price it's probably because you haven't done any homework at all.
As Plums says, it's a free market. The seller can name his price....and the buyers can do as they wish. Free will.
I think the word "opportunist" would more aptly apply in a situation where free will isn't in play. If there's a natural disaster and the supermarkets and hardware stores triple the price of bottled water and flashlight batteries, that's being opportunistic.
Cheers

Speaking of overpriced...
1987 Jaguar XJS
While it's certainly looking pretty nice and seems to have low mileage, I don't think there's an 87 XJS anywhere worth 23k.

They're slightly different dimensions from the originals, and the rear housing is black plastic instead of chromed steel. I'm happy with them, and the price seems reasonable.
