Does anyone know what the diameter of the rod that the clips hold on to in the Facelift's knee bolster are? I managed to wedge mine back in, but I don't want to jinx it, pull mine back down to measure, only to learn that I can't get it back up. I am still looking for replacement clips and I may have found a good source, I just don't know what size to buy. I can take the measurement in mm, for those across the pond.

The answer is 0.458in or 11.63mm

 

You can make the clips out flat sheet metal, I gave up trying to find them. But I can fabricate a handful with a pair of tin sips in a few minuets, in fact you can make better clips than the originals.
