Default power antenna puzzlement

OK, so my power antenna is now stuck in the up position.

Looking at the MY 1987 electrical guide, I see there is a page for the "Early Radio Antenna", and the "Late Radio Antenna". Problem is that the wires leading into/out of the antenna relay don't match the color code for either version. Both schematics show blue/red and blue/yellow wires, and both show a total of five connections to the Antenna Delay Relay. I only see four wires, which are purple, black white/red and white/pink (or some color like that).

Am I looking at the wrong relay? I don't see any other relay in the vicinity. It's green with LUCAS on it.

I'd like to upload a photo if it but the upload dialog stalls at 90% no matter how small I make the image.

Thanks,

John

The antenna itself may well have been changed, and the wire colors different from original. I just looked at my 87 XJS, and the wire colors coming from the antenna dont match, as i think the antenna assembly has been replaced. There should be three wires coming out of the antenna. One should go to a ground point. The other two should go to the green Lucas relay. The relay has five terminals, and the the two wires from the antenna should go to the terminals on the diagram.
If you disconnect the two wires from the antenna from the relay, leaving the ground wire in place, applying 12v from the battery to one wire should make the antenna go up, and connecting the other wire to battery 12v should make it go down. If that doesn't make the antenna motor run, either the ground is bad, or the antenna motor is bad. If the motor runs, but the mast doesn't move, then the fault is the gear train that drives the antenna up and down, or the cable that drives the mast up and down has stripped.

Thanks for the Jon, and sorry for the late reply. After thinking about it, I really don't listed to broadcast radio anymore, so spending time on resolving the antenna issue doesn't make much sense. And, after all, the car needs much more attention in other areas, so I'll abandon the power antenna in place and move on to other issues.
