Default Rear shock replacement-Facelift cars

I know it's always better to remove the cage for all rear end work but has anybody replaced the four shocks on Facelift cars without removing the cage? The only issue I see is access to the upper shock mounts/bolts and not sure if it is a single long bolt shared by both shocks or does each shock have their own upper attach bolt.
Can anyone share both experiences?. Come Spring next year I want to know how much time I'll need to budget for the rear shock replacement. For all of my other cars, I can pretty much fit rear shocks in my weekend along with many other things to do on the cars. I fear I will need the whole weekend just for the shocks on this one. If the cage needs removing , maybe more than a weekend. I thoght eveything related to the rear end was easier on the Facelift cars having outboard brakes fitted but maybe nothing got easier on the shock replacement. Thanks. 95 conv 4.0

Shocks are often removed/replaced with the cage in place.

Each shock has its own upper bolt

Absolutely no need to remove the cage to change the rear shocks. Just remember that the lower pin on the wishbone has to be drifted out forwards (and take careful note of the order of the washers and spacers); and then the only tricky thing is getting a socket on the end of the top bolt that goes through the cage. There is just enough clearance between the cage and the body on the rear shock top bolt to get a ratchet and short socket with a flexible head onto the bolt. Like this sort of thing:
