Can anyone point me in the direction of the company utilising donor XJS's to conjure up thoroughly modern interpretations with uprated running gear, brakes, suspension etc? I believe one was featured on Top Gear a few years back.

I believe you are referring to Knolls Wilkins Enginering (KWE Jaguar) James May drove one of their cars a few series back and said it was the best xjs he had ever driven. They are pretty pricey but they do amazing work though!
