Default Recommended bearings?

Hey guys,

I am starting to get more and more pieces in before I start a task as it makes it flow better...

Stuck around wheel bearings right now. What is best to get? Being a former Volvo guy, SKF was the recommended part to have, especially due to SKF once founding Volvo Anyhow, I have read Timken is good but also others...

What is the best to have? And what would you recommend?

Cheers

Damien

Never had a problem with SKF

Timken is widely considered top grade. I seek out Timken but accept SKF

I don't think you'd have a problem with either one

Cheers

Pretty much any of the western brands should be good: Timken, SKF, ***, Koyo should all be good. Perhaps it's just where I am, but I found the Timkens were the easiest to get for the Jaguar application, and that's what Jaguar originally used. I went to a local industrial bearing supplier, not an auto parts place.

Cheers guys. I thought Jaguar used Timken aus original equipment but wasn't totally sure. There is a picture of a bearing kit on the Jaguar parts site and that has a Timken bearing...

The differential on an 86 was all Timken, and a 94 was a mixture of Timken and Koyo.
