Default refreshing a 6.0, parts?

Hey guys, thought I'd ask, as I am closing in on having the parts needed to put the 6.0/ Tremec 5 speed into my 89 XJS. The 6.0 ran great in the 94 XJ12 I took it out of. Yet, it has 127,000 miles on it, and after 5 seperate compression tests, during different phases of getting the car running, to final pull out, I never got over 190 lbs of compression on cylinder 4B. My hardheadedness tells me I should refresh this engine at a minimum. My plans are to tear it down, and at a minimum do timing chain, tensioner, and rings. At a maximum, whatever else appears to need replacing. The last V12 I rebuilt truely didn't "need" anything but a valve seat repair, all new exhaust valves due to exsessive stem wear, guides knurled, and top end gasket set. But since I had it torn down, I did it all. Seems a waste looking back.
This engine, I am tearing down, and checking everything before replacing it, except for the timing chain, tensioner, and rings.

I found a great deal on a tensioner on eBay, and have been looking for the timing chain. I am wondering about pricing. A Jaguar chain is almost 300.00, but have found chains for as little as 36.00 +/-. Gasket sets are also all over the board.

Any advice, comments?

SC6,
I have bought a new timing chain from David Manners, (made by the identical manufacturer to Jaguar OE) for around 60 UKP say 100 USD.

Am I correct in thinking you are Gene on jag-lovers?

If so, contact "sbobev" on there as I think he got an OE chain for not many $s.

Can I ask which bell housing, clutch, throw out bearing you plan on using for your manual conversion?

In terms of the Tremec are you going with the TKO 500/600 or a different model.

Rgds.

A.

I bought the Quicktime bellhousing for the 6.0. I may live to regret, but I bought a 10,000 rpm triple disc clutch and flywheel from someone on eBay. It is all new, never used. I also am using a Tremec 3550, that I am upgrading. I hope to use a Emerald ignition/efi controller, and have been discussing coil on plug with them. And yes, I am Gene on Jag Lovers
