Removal with or without tranny bracket?

Removal with or without tranny bracket?
Hi there!
Getting ready for the last few things, I wondered if it is clever to undo the transmission bracket and leave that connected to the tranny or undo the tranny from the bracket?
Is it easier to "fiddle" it in place again with the backet in place?
Cheers

If you are talking engine removal, the undo the bracketry. You cannot undo the propshaft until both brackets are removed. Replacing the bracketry and centering the tail so the prop does not foul anything is impossible/at least nearly so with the bracketry still on the car, as the bolts are far too short to get started with the mounting spring in place. I have a wonderful method for easily and very safely replacing and undoing the thing, which I shall try to find the thread about, and add to this post. Here it is:

Yes still engine and tranny removal. As I last did this on my parts XJS I und the prop at the diff and und the bracket... Worked as well... But I can't be arsed to remove the prop this time.
Do prop and tranny need to be mounted in the same position as before...? Ie the same orientation!?
