Default Removing the Security System

Has anyone removed the security system from a 1994 xjs. Mine is making weird noises, locking the doors by itself, and overall is just useless to me. I would like to just get rid of it completely.

On early '92-3s you can just unplug the control box in the trunk/boot. I believe later models are more integrated with key chips and immobilizer.
Why not try to find someone who can help get it working . . .I do like having the central locking......
Doesnt the valet switch sort of turn it off ??

If you have the same system as the 95-96 vehicles, the security ECU communicates with the ECU. Without it you won't be able even start the car. I have come across several of the security ECU's myself and I have yet to come across a failed unit. Typically the problem is with your remote, or one of the actuators on the doors or trunk.

I have also described various times in this forum how to place the system in "valet mode" which means it just locks and unlocks the doors, with all of the other features disabled. If you search it out you'll find it, or I can post it later this afternoon :-)
